One of Balis best kept secrets and far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta, Geger beach is a long stretch of white sand beaches interlocking smaller bays and secret coves below the temple on low tides. Geger beach is perfect for swimming with a reef 200 metres offshore the depth of the almost still water remains low up to the reef wall, beyond this the mighty Indian Ocean delivers some of bali’s biggest surf. You will see seaweed farmers and fishermen in the water.
Balangan is one of the surfing beaches on the western side of the Bukit peninsula located just north of Dreamland. Beautiful stretch of white sand beach perfect for lazing around.
Immediately north of Nusa Dua enclave is the peninsula of Tanjung Benoa that includes less exclusive hotels and Benoa village. A multi-denominational area, it includes a mosque, and Chinese and Hindu temples in close proximity. The destination for marine and water sport activities. There are well established local restaurants and souvenir shops along its shores and Main Boulevard. Being a peninsula that is only accessible from one direction, Tanjung Benoa is still relatively quiet with a more relaxed feeling.
Eat freshly grilled seafood on the beach at Jimbaran Bay at sunset, while seeing planes landing and taking off with Mount Agung in the background. Jimbaran is only a 15 minute car ride from Kuta, 30 minutes from Sanur and 15 minutes from Nusa Dua making it accessible. The accepted method of ordering food at Jimbaran is to check out the fresh fish at the front of the warung, choosing the items you want. Snapper, Squid, Prawn, Lobster , mussles are available.
